Two words...
SNOW DAY!
There is currently nothing but snowflakes in the air, but Montclair Sate was nice enough to give us the day off tomorrow. I’m blasting The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Blanton desk in celebration!
“So I’ll remove the cause, but not the symptom!”
5:34 am
Note to self: Stop working these crazy hours during the week, it’s no good.
Tomorrow I need to go to class (if I can get up), shower, go to Target to get Valentine’s day stuff, and pay my housing application fee.
My one act is cast! Congrats Ray Ray and Morgan :) I got into Diane’s. It’s a small part, so it’s perfect for me at the moment.
Also, I helped myself to the tiara that was left over from Shoofly. It looks really cute on my head.
It's Monday.
And therefore, I am sleepy.
I have, however, already done a ton today. I went to class, moved lights, paid Justin and Sarah for directing Shoofly, and now I’m at work. Talk about productive!
Tonight, I am casting for my one act as well as auditioning. It should be a fun, whole new experience. I even get to leave class a little early!
Finally, can I just say that it is freezing up here? Tommy and I waited about half an hour for shuttle last night on our way back from AJ’s superbowl party and basically had to thaw out on the shuttle. Mary Kate was ready to offer someone our fresh, frozen pizza for them to drive us on the way there. Ridiculous cold weather!
Saturday.
I love my friends!
I love my life!
I have a boyfriend who deserves me.
“And I love Shoofly!” LOL. Performances have been going very well. We have one more tonight. It has definitely been fun working on all new material with a fun cast!
Going to go grab brunch with the boy while waiting for my laundry to dry. I have never find a dryer in this place!
DE is getting slammed with snow. I wouldn’t mind a few flakes, but I’m glad that we didn’t get a blizzard because that would put Shoofly’s last performance in jeopardy.
Overnight.
It’s really weird when you look at an ex’s profile, and it feels like you never even dated them. It’s a really scary feeling, as if the two of you never existed. I guess that’s what happens when you move on.
In other news, I’m really tired and it’s 4:51am.
Did I mention that I frolicked in the snow with some of my best friends on Tuesday night? Beautiful, fluffy snow and a full moon and best friends; a wonderful combo :)
I’m going to go do some homework. Tomorrow will consist of sleep and homework before Shoofly.
A long day comes to a close.
Today has been an extremely long day. It began at 7:30am, and is just now over at 10:48pm.
While making my directing debut in class today with my 30 second scene, I discovered that I get a little thrill from being a director. I only hope I have a talent for it. I guess I’ll find out when I direct Brown and Gold for Players (my one act:) ).
Shoofly opens tomorrow! With only 9 rehearsals, it’s going to be a good show. I finally read the stage directions loud enough tonight!
On a very sad note, I found out today that my drama teacher from high school is battling breast cancer. She recently had surgery and is going through kemo sessions now. Mrs. Saninno is one of the most wonderful people in my life, and much of the time when I didn’t believe in myself, she did. Please say a prayer for her.
Snaps for :
1. Being greeted by a dozen hugs from friends walking out of Life Hall on my way to class this morning. I’m lucky to have all these wonderful people around me!
2. Crawling around, pretending to be Simba, while singing ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’ for my auto drama assignment.
3. Getting a text from the guy I like.
4. Finishing the program for Welcome To Shoofly! The last program I’m going to make since we will have a new Box Office manager soon.
5. Having my one act chosen for Players Annual One Acts show! Now I can claim to be a writer, director, and actress, and I have the chance to do all three in one show :)
Grammys 2010.
I must rant about this…
Grammys 2010.
Gaga and Elton John…DYNAMITE duo!! I was so glad to see these two amazing people on stage together!! They are totally deserving of each others company!
But putting Taylor Swift on the same stage as STEVIE NICKS and having them sing ‘Rihannon’ together??? Really world? Really? Stevie Nicks is a master rock and roll queen, and Taylor Swift is a minion who is confused as to if she should sing country or pop music for a living.
Sorry Taylor, but you just tweak me the wrong way, and Stevie is ma girl, ya know??
Fun!
Today, I was faced with a choice: Venture to the mall with my friends AJ, Tommy, and Lena, or stay in my room and read for class. I choose the fun one that deals with having a life :) So glad that I did. It was nice to get off campus for a while, and to get a free strawberry Valentine’s Day milkshake at Sonic.
Tomorrow, I have to make programs for Shoofly (we open on Thursday!!) and, of course, go to rehearsal :) Morgan and I were so giggly tonight it was embarrassing…I definitely need to start sleeping more.
P.S. Note to self:
1. PROJECT!
2. Be patient.
