BB's Artsy-ness

Life. Love. Theatre.

Notes

I was deeply saddened today when I was informed that the Jaws ride at Universal Studios is closing on January 2, 2012.
I love Jaws, and I grew up watching the first three a ridiculous amount of times (mostly the first one, because, let’s face it, the other two kinda stink). It’s probably one of the many reasons why I don’t like being out on the open water. It’s also one of my favorite movies, and I never got to go on the ride. I guess I’ll just have to settle with watching the filmed versions of the ride on YouTube.
Jaws will still be honored in the park in “some way” according to Universal. I’m hoping they keep the shark, because that shark is one of the three, named ‘Bruce’ by non other than Steven Spielberg himself, that was used in the first movie. RIP :(
